In Disney Traditions, award winning artist, Jim Shore, combines much loved characters from Disney films with American folk art inspired patterns and bold colours, in a style that is unique and instantly recognisable.
Highlights from the January launch include two Princess Story Book tableaux: One Magical Night (Tangled) and Enchanted Kiss (Sleeping Beauty); a patriotic Mickey Mouse in beefeater’s costume, Greetings from England;adorable Dopey with a light-up candle, A Light in the Dark (Dopey); two pieces to celebrate the birth of a new baby, It’s a Boy (Mickey Mouse) and It’s a Girl (Minnie Mouse) plus an array of Disney Princesses with elaborately-carved castles on their gowns.
Celebrating the 75th Anniversary of Disney's Pinocchio and The Sorcerer’s Apprentice, Jim Shore has created two stunning sculptures featuring the characters from these well-loved classics. In Summoning the Stars, Mickey’s head turns from side to side and Just Give a Little Whistle depicts Pinocchio and Jiminy Cricket.
