Save your New Money in Old Money!

A trip down memory lane is guaranteed for savers with the launch of Enesco’s Old Money collection. The four money banks are shaped as former and much-loved ‘old school’ coins from the centuries-old imperial system, and each is marked with a date relating to an important historical event.

Art work from original pre-decimalisation coinage - the shilling, threepence, sixpence and halfpence – has been used to create the design of each money bank. The Shilling bears the date 1953, linking to the Coronation of Queen Elizabeth II that year, whilst the Threepence is dated 1962, the year The Beatles had their first Top 20 hit in the UK with Love Me Do. The Sixpence is marked 1966, the year England won the Football World Cup and the Halfpenny 1969 date commemorates the year the heir to the throne, Charles, was named Prince of Wales.

Each coin money bank is packaged in a printed craft box reinforcing its appeal as a vintage style gift full of nostalgia.
