Willow Tree® adds to the family picture with new sibling sculptures

In response to popular demand, Willow Tree® announces new sibling sculptures joining the collection, allowing brand enthusiasts to expand their own Family Grouping collection to better reflect their relationships.

Over the past 18 years in letters and emails, fans of the unique sculptures contact the brand, with their number one request being for figurines that reflect their family members.

My New Baby measures 7.0cm tall and retails with a SRP of £24.00.  The figurine depicts two children – an older sibling embracing a new-born baby while curled up on a comfy beanbag.  It is the unspoken presentation of both possession and pride, for an older child welcoming a new baby into the family.

My New Baby is available to purchase in both a soft blush colour or gentle sky hue, with the older child’s romper suit being the differentiating colour across the two figurines.  Both My New Baby (Blush) and My New Baby (Sky) depict the new-born gently cradled in its brother’s or sister’s arms, wearing a white baby suit and small hat.  Beautifully capturing the initial bond between siblings, the two children seem perfectly content in each other’s embrace.

Like all Willow Tree figurines, artist Susan Lordi hand-carves the original figure from her studio in Kansas City, Missouri.  The pieces are then cast from her original carvings. Simplicity of form and the absence of facial features signify Willow Tree. Expression is revealed through gestures only. It is Susan’s hope that these pieces be meaningful to both giver and receiver.
