Since 1979, in Boyds, Maryland, Gary and Tina Lowenthal created the well-known and trusted brand Boyds Bears. Since then, their brand has brought soft snuggles, warm hugs and constant companionship into homes.

Boyds Bears is all about placing special paw prints in and on the hearts of young and old, small and large, collectors and one-true love bear owners. Who doesn’t love receiving super soft snuggles after a hectic day, in a busy month or during a topsy-turvy year? It’s always great to be able to turn to something comforting that you know and cherish.

After thirty-five years, Boyds Bears needed a little rest and went into hibernation. Now, ten years later they are stirring and just about fully awake from their nap – ready to celebrate their forty-fifth anniversary with renewed excitement and an adventurous spirit, trekking out of their cave and back into your hearts and homes – where they belong.

Enesco is excited to celebrate the forty-fifth anniversary of the iconic Boyds Bears brand by introducing twelve limited-edition bears that will be available early in 2025. In the new collection there will be ten super soft cuddly toys where some are even jointed, and also two figurines that come in a branded gift box.
